Oh, very good--and well timed too! I myself am currently working on a text dump for Paper Mario (a very, VERY rough version is available as a Document at ROMhacking.net--I'm currently making a cleaned-up version). We may be able to help each other figure out what some of those FF call functions refer to!
I also highly recommend this document for text values and such. This same person has other useful hacking info on his webpage (he has a whole folder's worth of stuff for Paper Mario), and everything prefixed with 'pm1' refers to Paper Mario of course.
I will say, you've actually missed some text. (I did the same in my earliest copy of the text dump.) Very early in the ROM you can find all the file menu text--i.e. the text from when you go to your save file upon starting up the game.
And is there going to be a music editor in your program? I'm not sure how much help it'll be, but I've got a ROM tracklist for (almost) every track in the game, with byte references as well.

Super Mario 64 Land has been released, and while it may not be a standalone game, this ROM Hack by Kaze Emanuar features a more linear design as well as more diversity with its level design. It boasts every power-up featured in the original and then some, complete with 130 stars spread across eight worlds, each of which with 5 to 6 playable levels. To be more specific, Super Mario 64 Land has 32 new levels, 70 different areas, 75 music tracks, 8 new bosses and 10 new power-ups. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the original Nintendo 64 console and game cartridge, but PC gamers can enjoy it via N64 emulators.
