For anyone that doesn't know, the HL2 Cinematic mod is notorious for having some of the most God awful remodels of HL2 characters, here's another classic. Speaking of that mod, someone on /v/ found that the alyx model has a vagina modelled up to the cervix Half-Life 2 with FakeFactory's Cinematic Mod 10 Nudity Warning 18+.

- Cinematic Mod adds cinematic effects, new music (mostly consisting of several tracks from the Batman Begins trailers), new sounds, new physics effects, HD textures, custom HD models, jiggle bone effects to Alyx, modifies weapon strength, etc. To Half-Life 2 and its episodes. The new Alyx model, introduced in Version 5, is based on Brazilian.
- Actually, it seems as though it may from the Half Life 2: Cinematic Mod, as one user pointed out almost a year ago, “Alyx has a vagina modeled up to her cervix, with outer and inner lips, clit, etc. So, I guess it is not just a graphical overhaul, right?”.
- The Half-Life series spawned countless mods, among which many that became highly popular in the Half-Life gaming community. Some original mods, such as Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, Day of Defeat, Ricochet, The Ship and Alien Swarm (originally a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004) have been 'adopted' by Valve and made into commercial games. However some mods such as Garry's Mod having been turned.

Half Life Cinematic Mod Alyx Models 1.12.2
FakeFactory's Cinematic Mod, also simply known as Cinematic Mod, is a mod that aims to improve Half-Life 2 and its episodes, and push the Source engine capabilities as far as possible. It was created and is developed by a 45 year old (as of 2012) German IT-service-business employee, Juergen Vierheilig, aka FakeFactory.[1] The current version is Version 13.[3]
Overview[edit]
Cinematic Mod adds cinematic effects, new music (mostly consisting of several tracks from the Batman Begins trailers), new sounds, new physics effects, HD textures, custom HD models, jiggle bone effects to Alyx, modifies weapon strength, etc. to Half-Life 2 and its episodes. The new Alyx model, introduced in Version 5, is based on Brazilian model Adriana Lima. The more recent versions make the maps richer in terms of atmosphere, and features many new models (such as more vegetation, or many more shipwrecks along the Coast).
The new music and HD models are optional, allowing to play a simply 'improved' game. The 'Character Pimper' was introduced in Version 5 when players were complaining about not being able to play with the real look of the original characters.
Vierheilig states that his mod was never planned as a community project. He merely shares what he created as a practice exercise while he was learning modeling, texturing and coding.[1]
Criticism[edit]
Cinematic Mod is not without criticism from the community. While some praise Vierheilig's work, many argue that his new HD character models are poorly made, lewd, unrealistic, and out of place in the Half-Life 2 universe, that the new music is inappropriate for the Half-Life 2 universe, or that some textures are inappropriate. When the patch to Version 5 was released, Vierheilig stated that it would be the last version, since he had grown extremely disappointed and tired by the criticism and bashing of his work. He argued that his mod was free and that he owed nothing to the community, and that he did not understand why gamers were complaining about features that were optional, i.e. the new music and models.[4]

The now-infamous psychological horror demo returns as a HL:A Workshop mod.
Released in 2014 on the PlayStation 4 as a demo for a now-cancelled Silent Hill sequel being developed by Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid series, Death Stranding) in collaboration with celebrated film director Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shape of Water, Pacific Rim), P.T. (“Playable Teaser”) made waves upon its release, offering PS4 players a refreshing take on the horror gaming genre with a one-of-a-kind psychological experience that was as terrifying as it was gorgeous.
After Silent Hills was officially cancelled in 2015, the demo was eventually removed from the PlayStation Store by Konami despite outspoken objections by the gaming community. Thanks to a new mod for Valve’s Half-Life: Alyx, however, players now have the chance to revisit the haunted suburban home and navigate its endless looping hallways in VR… sort of.

Last month Valve released Workshop support for their highly-anticipated VR FPS, Half-Life: Alyx, allowing independent creators to access the game’s asset library in order to create their own levels, textures, materials, models, and animations and share them with the SteamVR community. Despite having only been available for less than a month, the HL:A Workshop is already stuffed with an impressive number of custom maps and modifications. This includes a creation by modder AmbientDruth that recreates the original P.T. experience with incredible amount of detail.
Available for download now via the Half-Life: Alyx Workshop, “PT” appears to feature many of the elements that made the original PT so terrifying. Through some crafty development, AmbientDruth has managed to incorporate recognizable elements such as the looping hallways, the audio from the haunting female apparition, Lisa; and the news report about a gruesome family murder.
While the visuals aren’t quite as impressive as those featured in the original P.T.—which is understandable considering P.T. was essentially a tech demo consisting of a single suburban home—Valve’s Source 2 engine does an impressive job at creating an unsettling environment in which to explore. Moving forward, AmbientDruth will be making several updates in the form of additional audio cues and props, various lighting adjustments, and “more creepy triggers.”
Those interested can download the PT mod for free via the Half-Life: Alyx Workshop.
