Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is an exclusive game for mobile devices. It’s an endless runner game which is developed by King, the makers of Candy Crush. The game will release globally on 25 March 2021. But since we played the test version of the game, we thought why not publish a Crash Bandicoot: On the Run Game Review. So here we are:

STORY

The entire game is based on a story. The story starts when Doctor Neo Cortex starts bringing troops and monsters from different dimensions into one place. Coco, the younger sister of Crash, has devised sets of potions that send them back to the dimension from where they came. Crash sets on the journey to send back all these enemies to their original place.

GAMEPLAY

To send monsters back to the original dimensions, crash needs to throw a potion over them. However, for that, you will need to do two things first – craft potions and throw the potion. To craft a potion, you will have to gather materials, which is when the endless running parts come into the picture; you keep on running until you collect all the materials required. Once done, you move to the next stage, where you beat all the minions in a boss’s gang. Now comes the final step where you face a boss monster and throw a potion sending it back to its original dimension.

Once a monster is defeated, you will move to a new set of minions and a brand new boss to beat, which requires more and new sets of potions to craft.

CONTROLS

Controls of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is similar to any other endless runner game. In the game, you swipe right to move right, swipe left to move left, swipe down to slide, and swipe up to jump. In addition to this, you have to tap on the screen to spin, which allows you to break through boxes and obstacles.

GRAPHICS

The graphics of the game is quite impressive. It’s simple yet enjoyable. The game gives you the feel of the old casual game, but at the same time, it’s quite advanced. The surroundings are colorful, and overall, it just feels right. Other than this, the maps have been designed nicely. The characters look real, and the game keeps the laws of physics in mind. What else do you need!

CONCLUSION

All Crash Bandicoot Games

If you have even a single casual endless running game on your mobile, then prepare yourself to replace it with Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. It’s new and offers a lot more options as compared to other similar games. The game is developed by KING, the makers of Candy Crush, and they have done a fantastic job on the game.

We loved this game because it shows that the developers actually want the players to enjoy the game. You don’t have to worry about excessive ads or forceful in-app purchases in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run. As a player, you don’t need to spend a single dime on the game to enjoy it. On the other hand, if you want to spend money on it, there are no good options. The costumes and cosmetic items don’t appeal to you to buy them.

To conclude, if you still enjoy the casual mobile game genre, then don’t think twice – go for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, but if you have gone past casual games, then the game offers nothing drastic that you have to download and try.

Activision have dragged Crash back from the dead with multiple successful releases over the last few years. Just recently, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time launched to strong critical reception and what seem like solid sales. Now, however, it seems like Activision are already teasing their next Crash project.

The very first level in Crash 4 begins on a beach. There’s a small TV screen there that Crash can hit, which shows logos of all the numbered Crash Bandicoot games as you hit it. But as discovered recently by @kimmotman on Twitter, if you’ve finished the game with 106% completion, the TV screen also shows an additional mysterious logo right at the end for a fraction of a second.

The logo shows two streaks, one orange and one purple, around a Wumpa fruit, which might be suggesting some sort of an upcoming crossover between Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. A leak earlier this year suggested that Activision was working on a PvP Crash Bandicoot game, so it’s possible that they could be developing a kart racer or a fighter similar to Super Smash Bros. that uses characters from both Crash and Spyro.

This is all just speculation for now, of course, so don’t lock anything in as confirmed for now. That said, given how successful both properties have been for Activision since their revivals, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see them joining forces for a service-based PvP game.

Meanwhile, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One. An ESRB listing for the Xbox Series X not too long ago suggested that the game might also come to the new consoles, while a Switch version has also been in the rumour mill.

This secret seems to only work if you 106% the game.
