However, you can also find the download links for the Office 2019 suite andindividual applications directly from Microsoft.
• Applies to: Office 2019 for Mac The Volume Serializer (VL) is used to activate Office 2019 for Mac as a volume licensed version. It's an approximately 4 mb package file that you run on a user's computer, either before or after you've installed Office. Download the Volume License (VL) Serializer from the VLSC.
• With Office 2019 products for Mac, you can't download the Office installation files directly from the VLSC. Instead, you'll download an activation tool called the Volume License (VL) Serializer from the VLSC and then separately download the Office installation files from.
• Microsoft Outlook 2019 VL v16.44 Microsoft Outlook brings your email, calendar, contacts together in one place so you can work efficiently. Office integration lets you share attachments from OneDrive, access contacts and view LinkedIn profiles.

1. Send an email to computing@help.carthage.edu asking for Office 2019 for Mac. Indicate that you're a full time employee of the College in the body of the email.
2. If you've got Microsoft Office installed on your Mac, then follow Microsoft's instructions for removing it from your computer: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-office-for-mac-eefa1199-5b58-43af-8a3d-b73dc1a8cae3 Do this before trying to install Office 2019, to prevent issues.
3. Download the ZIP sent to you via a link in an email from Request Tracker (RT).
4. Open the ZIP once it's downloaded.
5. Run Microsoft_Office_16.30.19101301_Installer.pkg first.
• Note: While you can install OneNote, Outlook, & OneDrive, LIS does not support them. Use at your own risk.
6. Once that's done installing, open Office 2019 Volume Serializer.ISO
7. In the window that opens up, run Microsoft_Office_2019_VL_Serializer.pkg.
8. Once that's done, you can launch Word 2019, Excel 2019, or PowerPoint 2019, & you won't be forced to sign into a Microsoft account & pay for Office 365.
9. Reply to the RT email letting us know that you've installed Office 2019 so we can resolve the ticket.

Don't install it on machines not owned by the College.
